How do I load my instrument and can I add it to the Kontakt Libraries tab?
Our instruments do not display within the Library tab of Kontakt. Only libraries that have been sent to Native Instruments for encoding show up in the Libraries tab and they work not only in the full version of Kontakt but also in the free Kontakt Player.
To use our Kontakt Instruments you must be using the full paid version of Kontakt that the library was created in or newer – Kontakt is not forwards compatible.
You will need to load our instruments using the Files tab or Kontakt's Quick-load Browser.
To load the instruments using the Files tab, click on 'Files' located at the top of Kontakt. In the browser area under the Files tab navigate to where the product is stored on your system. When you select the folder you should see the .nki files below. The .nki files are the instruments.
You can either double click on the .nki file or drag and drop the .nki file to the main instrument area on the right. Both actions will load the instrument.
You can also add each product to the Quick Load browser. To access the Quick Load browser, simply right-click anywhere in an empty space in the main instrument area and this will display the Quick Load browser under the main instrument area.
Then click on Instrument and right-click in the list area and select Add new folder. Give the folder a name for example, Equuleus. Then simply drag and drop each .nki file in to the folder that you have just created. Now you will have a folder with all of the instruments inside, always easily accessible from the Quick Load browser.
