Tell us about your inpirations and influences and how they have contributed to your creativity

My inspirations include zakè, Lorenz Weber, Nebel Lang, Symphocat, Arvo Pärt, Hilyard, Ólafur Arnalds, Le Code, Port Sleep, Mount Shrine, Cephas Azariah, and Habn. There are more, but these have been the brightest guiding lights on my journey.

What kit do you love using most in your studio and why?

I particularly love creating sample based and live ambient. For sample based sound crafting, I use Elektron Digitakt, SP-404 MkII, and Koala Sampler, along with a number of effects apps on my iPad, such as Samplr, and Borderlands Granular. My favourite types of sounds for my studio are piano (especially felt pianos), Nordic strings, and organic sounding soft synths. My studio is based around Ableton Live 12 Suite, along with Arturia hardware, with controllers from Novation and Native Instruments too. Studio monitors from JBL. I use field recordings in my process, so always have a pocket field recorder (Sony PCM-A10) with me, and a larger Tascam D100 MkIII for planned field recording sessions. I also more recently have begun to venture into recording to tape cassettes and then circling that back into Ableton Live again, using a couple of We Are Rewind stereo player recorders, and a couple of vintage cassette and micro cassette dictaphones by Sony. I also have a lovely hand crafted generative MIDI controller, Generations, created by Innesti Ambient.

Plugin companies I love are Puremagnetik, who make a series of compact plugins for specific effects, that serve as virtual boutique pedals. At least, until I start to gather some pedals, already on my wishlist. I also really love the instruments created by Slate + Ash, and Felt Instruments, which are amongst my favourites, with Lekko at the top of my list of loves.

Soft synths include the full Arturia range, Korg Wavestate Native and Opsix Native, Xfer Serum, and Vital synth.

Which Kompose Audio Kontakt Instruments you have used, why you like using them and how they have contributed to your music

I have used all of the Kompose Audio instruments except for Vitrics, which I will add to my sound palette in the coming weeks. My most used instruments so far from Kompose Audio are Arcturus, Time 2, and Equuleus.
