Musician

I have been moving in a wide variety of styles for over 25 years. From handmade music with guitar, piano and bass to abstract electronic music. For several years I have been creating a lot of ambient music, soundscapes and also writing commissioned music.

Tell us about your inpirations and influences and how they have contributed to your creativity

During my childhood I was influenced by Pink Floyd, YES, the original formation of Genesis and many progressive rock bands. Later influences such as jazz, soul and electronic music were added. IDM and modern electronic music influenced me. Artists like Adam Johnson, John Hopkins, Savvas Yastis and many more.

What kit do you love using most in your studio and why?

Various analogue synthesizers from Waldorf, Roland, Elektron, but also many VST instruments from Native Instruments, such as Kontakt, Reaktor and now also Kompose Audio and much more. Recording and editing take place in Ableton live or ProTools.

Which Kompose Audio Kontakt Instruments you have used, why you like using them and how they have contributed to your music

I'm currently using Vitrics. The long-lasting and glassy sounds are perfect for airy and beautiful ambient soundscapes. The simple user interface allows me to quickly access the properties of the sound even during live performances.
