Choir For Soundbox Has Been Updated

Our Choir pack for Soundbox has been updated, bringing a number of useful performance improvements.

If you purchased Choir on or after 9 December 2025, you already have the latest version.

Important:
Please keep a backup of your previous version of Choir. If you’ve used Choir in any existing projects, we recommend making a note of the presets used in your DAW before importing the update. In most cases, projects should load the updated presets correctly after reimporting. However, noting your preset usage beforehand is a sensible precaution.

To download the latest version, visit the Kompose Audio website, click My Downloads, and log in using the email address you used when purchasing Choir. You can then download the updated Choir pack from your account.

Once downloaded, please delete the existing Choir pack from within the Soundbox application or plugin, then import the updated version.

Please note: as part of this update, we’ve removed the Soprano Mm preset, as it was very similar in character to the Soprano Ih preset.

Choir now includes 21 presets:

• 6 Alto presets: Ah, Eh, Ih, Mm, Oh, plus 1 Shorts preset.
• 5 Soprano presets: Ah, Eh, Ih, Oh, plus 1 Shorts preset.
• 1 Whispers preset.
• 9 Vector enabled preset variations of the Alto and Soprano presets.

Expression & Control:
All Alto and Soprano presets feature four layers, with each layer’s volume assigned to the modulation wheel (CC#1). Simply move the mod wheel on your MIDI controller to shape expression and dynamics in real time.

Vector Presets:
Vector presets allow the four layers to blend seamlessly, creating an evolving sense of movement within each sound. In these presets, the modulation wheel (CC#1) controls both the individual layer volumes and the EQ High Gain found in the Master tab - giving you expressive tonal and dynamic control.

For the Vector presets, each of the four layers has a slightly staggered attack time, creating a softer, more gentle response when you play.
