Hearth Strings

Hearth Strings is a beautifully intimate acoustic guitar library for the free Soundbox player, created from the warm, organic tone of a nylon string acoustic guitar. Designed with emotion, depth, and playability in mind, Hearth Strings delivers a deeply human sound perfect for cinematic composition, ambient music, storytelling, and gentle acoustic textures.

Every note has been carefully recorded with three round robin variations, giving performances a far more natural and authentic feel. The subtle movement between samples brings the instrument to life, capturing the imperfections and expression of a real performance. Alongside the core recordings, we also captured a selection of fret noises, subtle knocks, and performance details that add even more realism and intimacy to the experience.

Hearth Strings includes 8 beautifully crafted acoustic guitar presets, each with two additional variations, offering a wide range of expressive tonal possibilities.

The main presets have been creatively fed through various amps and effects, transforming the acoustic recordings into warm, characterful textures filled with atmosphere, depth, and emotion.

Each preset also includes two unique -12 variations:

• A pitched-down version that creates a deep, emotional, almost cinematic tone with incredible warmth and weight.
• A second -12 variation created using Soundbox’s Repitch function, maintaining the original sample length while introducing a long, evolving fade-in. The result is a beautifully soft and atmospheric acoustic texture, perfect for layering and adding depth to compositions.

The Soundbox interface makes it easy to shape your sound. Each layer is fully adjustable with ADSR, effects, modulation, arpeggiator, and a versatile vector pad for morphing through layers with various vector shapes. Plus, you can quickly tweak volume, panning, and solo/mute layers on the main page, giving you total control to sculpt the soundscapes to suit your project. Once you've perfected your setup, save your unique presets using the intuitive and easy to use browser.

Adding new packs to Soundbox is a breeze! Head to the User Sounds menu, enter the preset and pack manager, click Import, and select the downloaded Soundbox Pack (.sbpack file) and you're done!
