The Enchanting Sound of Wine Glasses

Vitrics is a Kontakt instrument created from the delicate, resonant tones of wine glasses. I recorded a collection of glasses using soft, medium and hard strikes, both empty and filled with varying amounts of liquid. Each sample was then carefully isolated and tuned, preserving the crystal-clear character and natural differences between every glass.

The instrument includes three atmospheric presets, each divided into a lower pad section and a playable glass instrument. The haunting pads were created by gently circling the rims of the glasses, producing long, evolving tones reminiscent of a glass harp. These are blended with playable glass samples, effects and filters to create shimmering textures filled with magic and mystery.

Each preset includes eight smart controls for shaping the sound, from delicate tonal details to rich, immersive atmospheres. Vitrics also features a multi-language interface supporting 11 languages, making it easy for composers around the world to explore its distinctive sound.
