The Roland JX-8P's Soundtrack preset has earned legendary status among synthesizer players for good reason. Often regarded as one of the finest factory pad sounds ever created, it combines lush dual-oscillator warmth and a beautifully slow filter sweep to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and inspiring.

Released in 1985, the Roland JX-8P was part of Roland’s new generation of performance-focused analogue synthesizers. Building on the JX-3P, it introduced full MIDI support and became renowned for its warm, silky sound. Excelling at lush pads, expressive brass, and evolving textures, its dual DCO design provided stable tuning while retaining the rich analogue depth and character that made it a defining synthesizer of the 1980s and a favourite among musicians today.

Sparks are inspiring, fully playable micro-packs for Soundbox, created to ignite new ideas the moment you touch the keys. Each preset is brought to life using Soundbox’s powerful effects, dynamic modulators and intuitive vector engine, delivering expressive sounds filled with movement and character.
